Watching this after seeing PBD on a podcast with Bill Maher. PBD is younger but somehow infinitely more magnetic and wiser and selfless.

Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see as a glance of wealth, a great career, and purpose is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who is reading this will be successful in life,.,.,.,

I believe this man when he says go get a book before his, while I already have both of his books. I literally paused the video and went on Audible and purchased Meditations . I’ll be listening to it on the job site tomorrow

YES! My biggest take away is really 2 things that work together. #1 Humility in your achievements.#2 Is the general message of not settling for less. I've settled for a life as a programmer and that's been good, but that's what I've gotten. I've seen people die relatively young and I found myself saying, "Well, that could have been me, so I should consider myself fortunate for living this long.", thinking this is a logical interpretation. There's a subtle devaluation of life in this thinking. I'm retiring as a programmer soon, so I'll get out of that box I've put myself in.

I’m a 57-year-old father of a three-year-old daughter. I lost my job of 13 years July 31 due to automation and I still can’t find anything and it’s very depressing.
