The World Health Day is an annual observance celebrated on 7th April around the world to raises awareness about global health problems and pay attention to particular priorities in global health. It is celebrated under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as all other related organizations.

The United Nations formed diplomats from a range of countries in 1945. One of the formed associations was the United Nations Economic and Social Council, which first met in 1946. During this meeting, there were invited for the stability of an organization in the United Nations, which would be committed to health issues. The new organization would carry the work of the International Office for Public Hygiene and the health units of the League of Nations.

On 7th April 1948, the World Health Organization first held the World Health Assembly. From 1950, the Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April of each year, as the World Health Day. The World Health Day is held to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization, and each year, it is an opportunity by the organization to pay attention to a subject of great importance to global health.

When the World Health Organization is established they carried out a vast amount of useful work, it includes the effectuation of a vast range of public health strategies. Now, the members of 193 countries and the organization are still working to make better many aspects of health around the world. World Health Day is one of the eight official global health campaigns along with the other seven global health campaigns.

On World Health Day various local and international events are held to enhance the people’s awareness about a particular facet of the World Health Organization’s work. Media also promote this day in this include talk shows and other programs, news bulletins, newspaper and many other things like that. In educational institutes, health theme lectures and many conferences are held to promote this day. Various governments and non-governmental organizations admit the World Health Day with interests in public health issues, and they also organize many activities and events to support the Global Health Council. In these events include conferences of health workers, the informational exhibit about health for children and young people. Public marches and free or easy approach to medical tests are also taking place on this day.
